Participatr was founded by Paul Erskine-Fox in November 2016. Our growing team of associates and specialists has vast experience of working on spatial planning, transport and infrastructure projects, from Neighbourhood Plans to NSIPs.

Our team combines extensive engagement experience with the latest in digital thinking. We regularly create new digital community engagement tools in response to modern built environment challenges and project requirements.

Our mission is to give everyone a voice in shaping the built environment, not just the naturally loudest. We believe by making participation accessible and simple, outcomes improve and project achieve more social and commercial success.

"Participatr is particularly good at capturing sentiment, using maps to which consultees can pin comments. These can be instantly seen by everyone – 'real-time' feedback that lends its strength."

The Planner Magazine

"Participatr creates interactive online tools for town planners working on development frameworks and sustainable transport plans to gather ideas, issues and feedback from the public, including vulnerable and harder-to-reach groups."

"Participatr's tools are designed to overcome the real-life barriers that ordinary people face when getting involved in the planning process."

Connected Places Catapult

"Participatr have developed online consultation tools that allow for participation at any time from any location, allowing engagement of a wider range of audiences, covering even those hard-to-reach ones."

British Property Federation

Paul Frainer, Assistant Director for Strategy and Economy, South Cambs District Council and Cambridge City Council
