The ideal partner

Participatr was created by Paul Erskine-Fox in May 2016. Since then, we have partnered with planners, communications specialists, architects and urban designers to take their engagement online and transform its outcomes.

We combine extensive engagement experience with the latest in digital thinking. We regularly create new digital community engagement tools in response to modern built environment challenges and project requirements.

Our mission is to give everyone an opportunity to shape the built environment. We believe by making participation accessible and simple, consultation outcomes improve and projects achieve more social and commercial success.

Our product is technology-based, but our experience and insight sets us apart. Our engagement platform has been built to respond to real-life engagement challenges that we have encountered face-to-face and online.

Our platform hasn't experienced any down time since our first website launched in mid-2016. It is hosted on our own dedicated web server, which performs daily backups, and will work for 24 hours in the event of a power cut.

To comply with the GDPR, our platform only holds data where necessary and doesn't ask participants to create a login account, as this can often put people off and result in personal data being held for longer than necessary.

What the industry is saying:
"Participatr is particularly good at capturing sentiment, using maps to which consultees can pin comments. These can be instantly seen by everyone – 'real-time' feedback that lends its strength."

"Participatr creates interactive online tools for town planners working on development frameworks and sustainable transport plans to gather ideas, issues and feedback from the public, including vulnerable and harder-to-reach groups."

"Participatr creates interactive online tools for town planners, architects, developers, local government, others to gather ideas, aspirations and feedback on built environment projects, designed to overcome the real-life barriers that ordinary people face when getting involved in the planning process."

"Now companies such as Participatr have developed online consultation tools that allow for participation at any time from any location, allowing engagement of a wider range of audiences, covering even those hard-to-reach ones."
