What was the brief?
The Project Groundwater programme aims to increase engagement with communities in order to help build understanding and awareness of groundwater flooding and to keep them fully informed about programme activities.
Buckinghamshire Council sought to create an online hub to support these activities, providing information and a range of online tools to get involved.
What did we do?
Participatr was commissioned by Buckinghamshire Council to create a multi-faceted digital hub to support the project, which was custom-branded to match the brand identity created for Project Groundwater.
We have collaborated with Buckinghamshire Council officers since 2022 to shape the content and features of the platform, and create a series of email addresses for members of the wider team to send and receive stakeholder correspondence using Participatr's full-featured stakeholder CRM and webmail interfaces.
The platform has evolved over time, featuring interactive maps, a news feed, events feed, contact form, email updates sign-up form and dynamic language translation with Google Translate. Several surveys have been conducted through the platform, with real-time feedback analytics provided by the Participatr dashboard.
What was the outcome?
- The platform has been visited by over 11,000 people
- 48% of people have visited using a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet
- Over 1,800 items of correspondence logged in the Participatr stakeholder CRM through the Participatr-hosted Project Groundwater email addresses
- 780 people have made interactions through the platform, including over 400 responses to the 'Flood readiness survey'
